About Kinoteka
Kinoteka Food & Bar Productions proudly present an innovative and modern combination of Japanese and Mediterranean flavors and Asian-fusion classics directed by chef Marko Đurašević. The virtuoso chef, with a rich working experience in Spanish two-Michelin-starred restaurants, has decided to settle down in Split and start a new thrilling era of fusion cuisine.
A wide selection of creative dishes and the unique concept of kaiseki multi-course cuisine with an inevitable Mediterranean aroma, along with the “omotenashi” principle of Japanese hospitality and ultimate devotion to the guest, all make Kinoteka Food & Bar the ultimate stop for Asian food fans and all food lovers looking for new exotic experiences and gastronomic adventures.
Kinoteka’s exciting à la carte menu loaded with top-notch ingredients, such as the prestigious wagyu beef and new-style sushi offer, expands the boundaries of known tastes by using techniques and recipes of ancient chefs of Diocletian’s era. Multi-course kaiseki menus have been a Japanese practice for over 400 years, and imply a tradition that aspires to perfection in each detail of both preparation and presentation.
The second story sequel is hidden behind the movie theater curtain dividing Kinoteka’s restaurant from its cocktail bar, the cast and crew of which includes outstanding barmen, signature cocktails, top-notch alcohol, as well as jazz & swing resident artists and DJs creating a whole new tropical experience with each upcoming weekend.
This remarkable story takes place in a 500-year-old noble palace where exotic cuisine crosses its path with movie classics’ posters, the cult seats from Zlatna vrata old Split movie theatre, and rich tropical vegetation – a dance-flora promising humid nights.
This is a blockbuster not to be missed!
